unexpected huge plot twist. i think i need to read it again before i rate it.
This was a weird experience. The first 70% is a British crime procedural, missing body, whodunnit thriller. Then it gets Jeremy Bearimy and time-y wimey really quick and then suddenly, it ends. I don't know that with this delivery the book worked for me, but I also can't say I wasn't entertained.

Would have been 5 stars but I guessed the twist very early on - which is very unlike me. Still, very good book and interesting story.

Listened to this. Expected a thriller... not a thriller. Started off as a pretty bland mystery where they were trying to convince themselves of a crime... and at the very end turned sci-fi. Very confusing, but an OK read. 2.5 stars.
