I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in this series, but for some reason, this third book dragged quite a bit! I enjoyed how Kate switched between Daniel's and Luce's point-of-view, though, and wish she'd done that in the earlier novels. The history was interesting, but following the same routine through so many different historic worlds over and over became tedious.

Maybe giving the book one star was a little harsh, nevertheless thought, the book was horrible!I swear that the publishers lure us in with very attractive covers and a well written synopsis, but otherwise the book was utter baloney!

Here's a simplified version of the plot...
I love you but you cause me so much pain-Daniel
I love you too but we can never be together-Luce
3/4s of the book later...
I still love you but we still cant be together-Luce
Not if i can help it!-Daniel(after convincing God)
We can finally be together-Daniel
Yay! I love you-Luce
Haha I'm here to prevent this from happening-Satan
NOOOOO we can be together again if we don't stop him- Luce and Daniel
Onto next book now....

The discovery of the beginning of this curse. I won't spoil it for anyone. This has been so far my least favorite, even though we finally got somewhere with the storyline. I just felt some got a bit repetitive, and it will pull me out of the story. But 3 stars for me isn't bad, I still like the book enough and still had fun reading it.

aye, beware. May contain total spoilers... and fangirling c:

Wow.

I actually really like Passion. It was more in-depth than the first two and actually introduced us; the audience, to Daniel's and Luce's past; instead of just mention a snippet or two in between brief conversations and cryptic prologues + epilogues.

When I read the first chapter, I was instantly intrigued and sucked into the world through Luce's and occasionally, Daniel's eyes. I really loved how Luce's past selves were introduced with different interpretations of her name: Lucinda, Lusckha, Lucia, Lu Xin and so on.. as well as Daniel's name: Daniil, De...

What really confused me though, was how the 'Chinese Daniel' and 'Egyptian Daniel' were introduced. God, now I'm acting like they're Barbie and Ken dolls.

Aaanyways, I was thinking how in the world does Daniel look Chinese and Egyptian when he doesn't even reincarnate? He lives through time so ... what is it? Is it some kind of angelic super power? I got so frustrated.

Another topic - Bill. I really, really liked his character. He was sort of the cute sidekick of the story, except he wasn't cute at all and was something more sinister than a sidekick. Yep.. when I found out Bill.. was... actually... Lucifer.

Oh. yeah. Cliffhanger. AGAIN.

I have to say the reason for a second star is because I do like the concept. It became boring a fourth of the way in. It reminds me of "Before I Fall" where even though different chain of events were happening it felt repeated. The chapters were scattered about the world in differnt times, yet we knew how it would progress. The ending was interesting but I'm in no rush to read the final book.

To be honest when I first laid my eyes on these beautiful covers in the fallen series I thought they would be great. They were okay until i got to Passions. From there it was a big let down for me. This book was hard for me to grasp onto and sink myself in.I think one of my main issues with it was that it jumped around to much. I understand she had to go back in time to break the curse but I felt like every single time that happened it was a waste because the same exact thing happened just with a different setting. I felt no excitement in this book. I felt nothing. I don't like giving books bad reviews but I just couldn't get into passions. I'm very sad about it.
