I hadn't heard of this Dr. Seuss book before, but I really liked it. Cute story, though it'll be a few years before my daughter enjoys it (too many sentences on a page- she likes to turn pages).

a longer storybook, great for testing your child's ability to sit and listen to longer works. My kindergartener was hooked.

This is a childhood favorite that I still adore. I love the black and white illustrations with splashes of red.

Similar to Bartholomew and the Oobleck (another favorite!), this one deals with the idea of a magically increasing object that grows out of control: no matter how many times Bartholomew removes his hat, another one appears in its place! I love all the side characters too: the wisemen, the murderous bratty prince, the executioner and particularly the yeoman of the bowmen.

Too long for storytimes but still one of my favorites!

Humorous, not as full of difficult rhymes as some Dr. Seuss books. Very basic colors aside from the focus of the story.

I enjoyed it the first few times as a child, but got bored with it fairly quickly...much sooner than I did with his Cat in the Hat books.
