Khaled Hosseni continues to be one of my favourite authors. Every book of his I read transports me to a world I am so unaccustomed to yet makes it feel like home.

Although I did enjoy the book I didn't find myself as attached as I did in his previous two novels. I liked that there was still the through the ages aspect though.

I really struggled to finish this book.  The book only had nine chapters, but they were VERY long, and most were about completely different characters (I was initially under the impression that we would follow the brother and sister the whole time, and I really didn't care for any of the other POV characters).  I ended up kinda confused about what was going on (since we kept jumping around) and what the point was supposed to be.  The last chapter was still very sad, though.

Wish I could've rated this one higher, but it just wasn't for me.

I don't have much to add from my review of Thousand Splendid Suns, but to no surprise I loved this book. It's such a page turner and I didn't want to put it down. I wanted to find out how all the stories at different periods of time all ended up connecting to each other

After waiting five years for his next book, I was a little skeptical that And the Mountains Echoed would not live up to my expectations. However, I am even more enchanted with Hosseini as an author than before! ATME does NOT disappoint!!!

Hosseini is a great storyteller, you can’t tell me otherwise. This is my second book of Hosseini’s works. The building of narrative writing contains within the story is powerful, even in rich characters. I admire him so much.
