4.4 stars- Well Holy Hot Smoking Tamales, Vance's book rocked it out ! My favorite of Lee's boys the Tall Dark Handsome Stoic Native American loner has finally found a girl he wants. He didn't pick the easy choice non of these boys would think of doing that. Law is as he puts it " A pain in his ass" and she is for more than that. He has his hands full just trying to keep a straight face let alone trying to keep her unhurt. They grow close, we learn about him and his past a bit and why he is how he is. He is a rock solid man with sex god like skills, and he wants her.
She is stalking the drug dealers who dealt the drugs that killed one of her boys in the recovery home where she works as a social worker. She runs the night pulling little pranks of them while hurting their business and just pissing them off. Vance who treats her to an experience to remember takes her safety on himself as does Lee's other boys. She trains, works her program and grows more troublesome to the dealers. The Rock Chicks pull out all the stops to welcome her into their fold and show her true friendship. She has emotional issues that try hard to keep her from getting her heart yanked out of her chest and she works hard at sabotaging her relationship. She has some Brass in her and pulls off a big bad toward the end of the book that almost ends everything.
Boo, the cat. What a talker. He has a lot to say, he has had to deal with so many troubles. Listen well to his words. ^-^

These books just get better and better as the characters develop. I love how they all connect and build upon each book before them. We get to know the MC before we dive into their personal life. The women all have some TSTL moments that have me grumbling at their stupidity. They need to be rescued, that's what these boys do, which can be a bit irritating to my feminist side. I would love to have these guys come rescue me like this in real life. There goes my image. LOL The women do get up on their own and kick arse back and I'm happy, happy, happy again. It all balances out and ends up being a fun romping romance.

!!!!! I have been waiting on Vances' story to come around! Jules is perfect for him! She is a head crackin' mamma jamma (her words, not mine). Working as a social worker, at a local shelter, she becomes extremely close to a trio of boys. When one of them dies of an overdose, she takes to the streets to teach the dealers a lesson. This earns her the nickname, Law, and Vance as a sidekick. The rock chick crew immediately adopts Jules into their group, and Vance makes it clear she isn't going anywhere. This freaks Jules out, because Vance has a very dangerous job. She lost her parents, and brother at a young age. Her grandfather died not long after that, and she was raised by her aunt, and uncle. When her aunt died, she and her uncle Nick never recovered. After Park died of an overdose, she has her guard up tight, knowing she can't take the loss of another person she cares about. Vance knocks down those walls, and builds them back, only he's inside this time. I love, love, love both of them! Next up is Luke Stark!!

The best so far in my humble opinion ;)
I thought Eddie was it for me, but I was so wrong. I think of all my book boyfriends and Vance just became my number one (it'll probably change later on) and Jules is my fave Rock Chick and one of my favorite characters ever.
I wasn't expecting to read the books back to back, but once I read the first, I had to keep going because all the characters are great and incredibly funny.

Ohh and one last thing, isn't Boo a lucky cat?

I wanted this to be my favorite of the Rock Chick books, but it ended up being my least favorite so far.

I was super excited to see a badass woman in this series. Not that the Rock Chicks aren't all badasses, but I mean a fighter, someone who could hold her own. I think I was disappointed because this book seemed to be all about how to tame the badass and make her become a regular, domesticated chick. As if the very idea of her being on the team was silly.

It was disappointing. It was more disappointing because honestly, she was making dumb choices. Not hiding her identity, letting the kids know she was doing it, and OF COURSE they would emulate her. It made everything that she was doing a mistake.

Not what I was hoping for, with her badass intro in the end of book 3.
