Two really solid plot lines, one not-so-solid. All in all another great addition to the series.

Reread. I’m enjoying this both more and less the second time.

The less: every character is a child acting like an adult. I know they main characters are supposed to be children growing into the responsibilities of adulthood, but it’s really all of them, from the Amyrlin seat to the forsaken to the warders. I wish the characters had more range.

Also, The constant battle of the sexes is wearisome and boring, and not humorous like the author seemed to think.

The more: the world and the plot are so completely thought-out, and it’s fun to experience all of the visions and prophecies along the way, knowing what’s coming.

I enjoyed Perrin’s progression the most through this one. Still definitely had its fair share of slow sections, but you can feel things start to pick up a little more.

This is such an immersion series, and this may be my favorite book of them yet. Definitely recommend for lovers of fantasy.
