Another great one

I just adore this series the Dracos are such a fun and intriguing family! Rhys is thrown into the madness when David tries and fails to remove the ring Fabian got for being in a trial, unbeknownst to him. Love how Fabian is either completely focused or well not, his dichotomy is just so endearing. Once Rhys starts understanding the dragons better I think he's a great match for Fabian, the two balance each other beautifully.
As usual this book leads us to the next book Conspiracy of Dragons, that I cannot wait to see how all the combined governments work through their latest issues.

Another great addition to the series. These books are such fun and light hearted comic relief. Fabian was such an anomaly with how absent minded he was but yet he was so intelligent. Rhys was so great and needed all the fun that Fabian brought into his life.

Really fun read that I highly recommend.

I really wasn't entirely sure what to expect from Fabian, what with the brief encounters we've had of him in the first two books. But I can't honestly say he is about exactly what I expected.

Fabian is passionate about research, and history. To the point where he gets distracted by his trains of thought very easily, and often finds himself not paying attention to important details, or outright forgetting them. Which leads him to very promptly forget signing up for a study conducted by Dr. Rhys Griffiths. How does one forget they consent - with a signature! - to a be a participant in a scientific study? By being distracted by pretty rings.

Rhys is incredibly serious, and entirely devoted to his research. He wants to improve the overall health of his community, and this study could help him achieve those goals. But he was not prepared for Fabian, who comes (back) into his life rather like a tornado.

Even when the stakes of Rhys' research prove to be higher than he initially anticipated, Fabian is by his side, determined to figure out the puzzle, and resolve the situation.

Rhys and Fabian could not be more opposite, but that draws them together. They grow to care deeply for each other - to fall for each other - and they balance each other out. (Balance seems to be a very key theme in this series, and in the previous series as well.) They have a few rocky moments that they work through, and a few nosy friends and loved ones who intervene maybe a bit too much. But it goes to show that they each have a support network in their side that care for them, and their wellbeing.

In the end, despite the slightly higher tension of this book, it was still a very lovely, low-angst, romantic read. I enjoyed getting to know Fabian more, and being introduced to Rhys. The larger the dragon family grows, the more content they all seem to be. And there are few things that make me happier than a happy, healthy found family.

Perspective: first
Tense: present
POV: dual

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3: Medium Salsa (A few open door scenes with explicit descriptions, but perhaps not very detailed)
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4: Great, calling it good doesn’t feel adequate. I really liked it and had a very good time reading it.

Review:
I was wondering why this series didn’t have an overarching conflict, and I think we finally built up to it. I’m sincerely enjoying the lore of this dragon society.

Great addition to series

I love this series and Fabian has been a intriguing character from the beginning. I was so happy to see he got his own special someone! Rhys and Fabian are perfect for each other.

I really enjoyed reading about their growing relationship. It was nice to see other characters back too!

I’m excited to read more from Louisa, she never disappoints!

I think maybe one of my favs I loved it so much. It’s everything you think it’ll be when you knew his book was coming up. I’m just so happy.

It’s about Dragon as he re-meets the man who gave him a chastity ring and ends up turning the shy nerd into his lover and it’s just everything you think it’ll be, have I already said that?

You def need to read the series, I think the Hidden Species one more then the books before this but why limit yourself, it’s just there in information throughout the whole book that is kinda reliant on you knowing some major backstory, and I think it rounds out that story line really nicely, in an added bonus over anything was missing, type of way.

Like all the books in the series it had me smiling the whole way through, even when I feared up a little. It was just happy making.

Ugh, I just love this world so damn much. And I adore the fact that previous characters, both from this and the other series, still pop up every so often.
