I really had to push through this book but overall I liked it. I especially liked the first and last short stories. Excited to have more character development of Gerald in the next book (hopefully) because this book didn’t give a lot of details about him.

It was a good read. I watched the series and know the video games and now I'm happy to read the origin of these. A lot of the stories I knew but added a layer of details which was rly nice. I'm exited for the next ones and which stories will be familiar to me and which will be new.

Really enjoyable, loved the characters and the reimagining of traditional fairy tale tropes. Excited to dig into the rest of the series! That being said, sometimes things were worded confusingly (I would bet as a result of the translation to English, though mostly really good), and long drawn out descriptions of fight scenes aren't totally my thing.
