I have mixed feelings about this book, I enjoyed it but I would not recommend it, if that makes any sense, lol.
The story was really good, I loved that the hero was obsessed with the heroine, defended her, took care of her, that he took her opinions in count and respected her as a person (as much as that can be done in a mafia romance, lol). But the writing style was just not for me

Honestly connected with the characters more in the prequel than here. It was okay, but despite having tropes I like just didn’t folllow through in their promise. I was also annoyed by small things like doctors not being able to see parts of her body’s during medical care and the whole “I was asexual until I laid eyes on you” bit.

I like the book. I did think there was too much smut and it took away from the plot.
Furthermore I did think that the part where the MMC found out about the FMC's disability was rushed.
I also wished that Catalina's research was a bigger part of the plot.

URGENT VOWS (SYNDICATE RULES) BY LUCY MONROE, NARRATED BY AMY DEUCHLER
A page turner that trills, chills and tempts. Between the never-ending twists and the heartbreaking turns, Urgent Vows is a can't put down rollercoaster ride.

I really liked the premise of this book with the FMC basically being a replacement bride for her sister, it was an interesting approach to forced marriage, but then it slowly went off the rails.
I felt that maybe I missed some chapters or a previous book because the events of the FMC's prior kidnapping just seems to be glossed over as an after thought and there were a lot of details I was confused about the kidnapping.
There was just a lot going on in this book with too many subplots and the FMC has some special talent that helps with each one. That being said I still did finish it and enjoyed parts of it.
