I loved Raven and Otto so much! I could have kept reading their story for so much longer!! I will say with how this one ended I will be eagerly waiting for the next book!! If you love Mc, forced proximity, brothers best friend, forbidden, suspenseful romances make sure to check this one out!!

just like with the first book, i was hooked right from the start. and knowing this was raven and otto’s book as well was just icing on the cake. the audio was incredible. desiree ketchum and connor crais did a phenomenal job portraying raven and otto, simply incredible.

raven was such a strong, fierce, and determined force. her life has been touched with darkness and cruelty, and she’s been through some horrific things at a young age. for the most part she’s overcome that ordeal, but is still struggling. and one of the people that has been there for her and has helped her has always been otto, her brother’s best friend.

otto stole my heart. i wanted to reach through the pages of this book and hug him. he hasn’t had the best life, and is doing everything he can in helping others in any way he can. he is so protective and when it comes to the people he cares about he’ll do anything and everything, and that especially includes raven, his best friend’s little sister.

raven and otto were magnetic. they had a connection that was incredible. their chemistry was electric, but more than that they had a friendship that was so tender and heartwarming. they shared a bond that could not be broken for anything. i loved the vulnerable moments they each had with each other, and how they confided in one another. they were so good together and so right for each other, and perfect for one another in every aspect.

under an endless moon brought the suspense, intrigue, and emotions. this heartbreakingly beautiful age gap romance brought all the feels. i loved the small town feel this book brought and the characters who called it home. i can’t get of the moonlit ridge series and after that bombshell at the end i need the next book like yesterday!

I really enjoyed Otto and Raven’s story. These two, in my view, were created for one another. Since she was young, he has been a source of comfort, safety, and protection for her. Though they have had feelings for each other for years, it seems that outside forces just won’t allow them to just give in to their desire and love for one another.

On one side, we have Otto who throughout the book, has this internal turmoil and guilt that he is dealing with from his past. Something happened to someone who he loved, and he felt like he should have been there to protect her and because he couldn’t, he feels like he does not deserve love or happiness, and he fears that allowing himself to fall for Raven may lead to danger for her. He also made a promise, took an oath to protect Raven, bring no harm to her, and see her as just a little sister. We see his struggle to stay faithful to that promise throughout the story.

Otto also has a singular focus in the story: he is focused on rage and revenge and until he is able to get that out of the way, he feels like he just cannot give Raven what she deserves. Raven too is suffering. She has survivor’s guilt. So, these two troubled individuals are trying to navigate a tumultuous outside world and though they can only find solace in one another, they are afraid to do so because of what could happen if they allow themselves to completely fall and be happy with each other.

This story was beautifully written. I just loved the dual timelines and how the author goes back and forth between the past and the present. This really allows us to understand the characters, their motivations, and their struggle to love one another freely and out loud. I loved Raven and Otto’s chemistry. They were not only lovers (yes…this one is spicy 🌶️ 🥵 🔥!!) but they were also really close friends. I loved the comfortability they had with each other, their funny banter, and how no matter what was going on around them, they were able to find peace with and within each other. Though this was a story of unimaginable pain, and how those we trust to be our biggest protectors failing us in life, this was also a story of joy, happiness, and love! Yes, this was a truly beautiful love story.

I also loved the secondary characters. The whole Sovereign Sanctum crew was so cool, from River to Cain, to Cash, and though this is a part of a series (and I did not have a chance to read book one {River & Charleigh’s story} before this book), I still felt like I knew all the characters and there was no confusion for me. This book makes me want to go back and read book one because I loved River, Charleigh, and Noland so much.  River was a great big brother, Charleigh, the bestest and loyalists of friends, and Noland was such a cutie. They are raising that little boy right with his love of family! I just loved it all.

In addition to the love story, I enjoyed the mysterious nature of the story. Up until the end, I had no clue who was messing with Raven and when that character was revealed I was flabbergasted but if you go back….it makes so much sense. This mystery really kept me engaged as I wanted to know who was causing all this craziness.

Overall, this was a great read. This was my first A.L. Jackson book, but it will not be my last because I really enjoyed her writing style, her characters, and the world that they live in. I will be reading more from this author for sure.

I had an opportunity to receive and ALC (advanced listener’s copy) of Under an Endless Moon and I must say that the narrators, Connor Crais as Otto, an Desiree Ketchum, as Raven, did a phenomenal job. They embodied the characters perfectly and were able to bring them to life and keep me as a reader totally engaged. And Ketchum’s rendition of Noland was the cutest! I just loved their narration!

Thoughts: This book was like a puzzle. It was so fun to put all the pieces together, and while I suspected some of the twists, there were definitely a few that caught me off guard. I loved the way all the past and present clues came together at exactly the right moment, and suddenly everything made sense.

I loved the tension between Raven and Otto. There was a lot of back and forth and denial of feelings and a little bit of hurt to go with it. But they somehow figured out a way through. Raven knew what she wanted and went after it, both in the past and the present. I loved that she never really gave up on Otto. Otto had a lot of hurdles to get past. He struggled with feeling like he wasn’t good enough and guilt over what happened to his sister. It was Raven who helped him see himself in a different light and it was Raven who really pulled him out of his self loathing.

I really liked the suspense element. I thought I had some things figured out, but with A.L. Jackson, there’s always more. I loved the found family aspect and even though River reacted poorly, I loved his relationship with both Raven and Otto.

Under An Endless Moon by A.L. Jackson

4🌟🌟🌟🌟

Quote:  “You never knew when a day was going to alter your fabric.”

This book was so good.  The story of Raven and Otto who became my two favorite people.  Omg the flirting and angst out of this man had me swooning over him.  The love and protectiveness he had for Raven throughout this story made my heart melt.
The biker gang turned into saving women from abusive relationships- members more brothers than if they were blood related but don’t touch my sister code was in full effect and Otto swore to River him and Raven were just friends.   Due to circumstances out of their control Raven moves in with Otto and as Raven is being taunted by someone from her past and Otto vowing to protect her their attraction and love cannot be denied.   Will River accept his little sister and Otto together or will the broken code end their relationship or worse?

Thank you Author A.L.Jackson and Valentine PR for ARC copy.  Honored to provide my honest review.
dark emotional slow-paced

From the moment I finished “From Here to Eternity”, I was counting down the days for Otto and Raven’s story, and let me tell you—“Under an Endless Moon” was everything I wanted and more! A.L. Jackson delivered with brother’s best friend, forbidden love, forced proximity, age gap, and a dash of romantic suspense that had my heart racing. If you haven’t jumped into the “Moonlit Ridge” series yet, I need you to drop everything and fix that immediately!

Raven and Otto’s story blew me away. Raven is an absolute queen—fierce, kind, and refuses to take anyone’s nonsense. Otto? A brooding, tattooed, morally grey protector who melts into a full-blown cinnamon roll whenever Raven is around. The history between them made every flashback hit with the perfect mix of heartbreak and longing, and the tension? Off. The. Charts. The pining, the slow burn, the unspoken emotions—it was all top-tier! I was basically screaming at my Kindle for them to just give in already. And when they did? Perfection. Raven fights for what she wants, Otto would burn the world down for her, and together, they had me in my feelings from start to finish.

And the suspense? I was ‘on edge’. Every twist had my heart pounding, and the found family vibes made it even more addictive. And that ending?! A.L. Jackson really just threw that bombshell at us and walked away like it was nothing. Rude. I need the next book yesterday. “Moonlit Ridge” owns me, and I’m not even mad about it!

Thank you @aljacksonauthor for the beautiful gifted copy! All opinions expressed are my own.

Rating: Really Liked It

I missed Book 1 (River's story) and I can't wait to go back and read it now. This is book 2 and not reading book 1 didn't hinder me reading this one. It's River's little sister Raven and Otto.

This is such a wonderful version of all the tropes below. I'm not so much for Virgin FMCs, especially FMCs in their mid/late 20s), but there's a very good reason why Raven is and it's so absolutely beautiful how and why Otto is able to get through Raven's issue. Both Raven and Otto have long, deep, horrible childhood trauma that still affects them now as adults. They both also have shared trauma which just makes their bond stronger. They both have been ignoring their feelings for the other for far too long and when they finally get to the "eff it" moment, it's delicious. Also, he calls her "moonflower" and she calls him "grumpy bear." I mean, how cute!

𝓨𝓸𝓾 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓴 𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓼𝓮 𝓪𝓻𝓶𝓼 𝔀𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓷'𝓽 𝓶𝓪𝓭𝓮 𝓽𝓸 𝓱𝓸𝓵𝓭 𝔂𝓸𝓾?

The ending also freaking took me by surprise. I love romantic suspense and while I kinda figured out what was going on, there was one BIG piece of the puzzle I didn't realize was a question had a HUGE reveal that kinda blew my mind.

The ending also set up book 3 really well and I'm so freaking excited for it now.

I thank @aljacksonauthor and @valentine_pr for the ALC. Connor Crais and Desiree Ketchum did such a great job with these two. Even though it wasn't a duet narration, it seemed like it at times.
