This is book 2 in the Moonlight Ridge series but it can be read as a stand alone. I loved that the two main characters shared such a long history together. Sometimes when there is an age gap and they have known each other since one of them was a child it can feel a little…."icky" for lack of a better term. There was absolutely none of that in this book. I adored the way that Otto and Ravens relationship develops and changes organically with time and age. Raven is a fierce FMC who has been through so much but has managed to continually rise above everything that is thrown at her. She knows what she wants and when she finally decides to go for it she is all in. Otto is the rough and tough, burly protector who is afraid to act on his feelings out of a sense of loyalty and duty. I absolutely adored watching Raven break his walls down slowly and how he constantly supports her and lifts her up. Desiree Ketchum and Connor Crais do an incredible job narrating this book and I HIGHLY recommend the audio!

I loved being back in the Moonlit Ridge universe again. I was so excited for Otto and Raven's story and it totally delivered. Learning about their history both together and their individual backstories totally broke my heart. But their connection was so strong and heartwarming. I loved how Raven could just be herself around Otto, and how fiercely protective he was of her. The whole story had this undercurrent of suspense that kept me glued to the page (or, well, my Kindle and headphones!). I also love the found family ride or die vibes these men have.
Narrators Connor Crais and Desiree Ketchum absolutely nailed these characters in the audiobook. Connor's voice is perfect for Otto. It was so deep and swoony. And Desiree captured Raven's fun, fiery personality perfectly. I could feel the emotions between them. I highly recommend both the ebook and the audiobook! I can't wait to go back to Moonlit Ridge for Kane's story.

Otto & Raven are everything! Raven is so witty and sassy, and Otto is so standoffish and reserved which makes these two ideal for each other. This book gripped me right from the start and held me in until the very end. So much craziness going on that you can’t stop listening because you’ve just got to know what is happening next. I’m so a fan of @aljacksonauthor and her work! 🖤 I loved listening to this story so much you bet I bought the book as a trophy. 😉 The spice is there. The storyline is perfect. The characters and their details are spot on. Love love love this series! I’m ready for more….

I love this book, not as much as the first one but that's a hard one to beat. The two of them have been in love with each other for as long as they can remember but Otto refuses to do anything about it. He holds so much guilt for what happened with his sister and what he does that he doesn't think he's good enough. Raven is right by his side to let him know that he is and always will be her favorite person. I love that everyone except her brother knew that they were in love and was waiting for them to get together.

I devoured this! It was soooo good! Otto and Raven are perfect for each other! You get to read about their past and how they have such a strong bond to one another. Some of it made me teary eyed 🥹 It was emotional, sexy, and suspenseful! I’m really enjoying this series! It’s a must read!
