This is my third Alexis Daria book and at this point, she's rapidly becoming one of my favourite romance authors because this was another hit for me. I loved the fact that it was inspired by Dancing with the Stars/Strictly Come Dancing (I'm a sucker for dance shows so I knew I'd like this) and I thoroughly enjoyed the burgeoning romance between the main characters. Alexis Daria just knows how to write spicy scenes, too, and her narratives are always fun and highly entertaining.
Minor: Cursing, Emotional abuse, and Injury/Injury detail

Thanks to Avon Books for the free advance copy of this book.
- TAKE THE LEAD is a reissue of Alexis Daria's first book. You can see where her writing has improved over the years, as well as what she's always been great at: chemistry that sparks right off the page.
- To be honest, romance novels where the man is so huge and the woman is so tiny have never really been for me, and this book kept hammering their sizes home. Your mileage may vary, of course.
- I did love the dance competition show setting though. All those rehearsals of intimate dances made for excellent tension building!

This would be a great book for anyone that loves reality t.v. especially shows like Dancing With the Stars.
I'm not a reality t.v. fan so I didn't love this book but I did love the latina main character.
