Xin đừng phân tán sự chú ý của mình bằng các couple khác. Mình chỉ ship Aiden/Dawn thôi :v

Sequel to Conflict of Interest.... This book we have more of more of Aiden and Dawn with their continuing relationship journey. But we also get a lot more of Kade and Del. And can I say I am super happy for that? Because I adore Kade in the first book but this book we get to see a whole new side of her and get to see more of the real Kade when she let's her guard down. However it is not all smooth sailing for her, not only with her trying to come to terms with her personal life, but also someone seems to be willing to do anything to make sure Kade is theirs. o.O We also get a lot of family interaction from many characters families which I liked, to flesh out the main characters even more.

I really enjoyed the first in this series but I think this book is my favorite between the two.

Conflict of Interest was a great book, so I was really looking forward to the sequel. Unfortunately I was destined for disappointment. This book was overly long, and not much happens.

This books suffers from a few problems, the main couple from the original story aren't given enough to do (in fact this book doesn't really advance their relationship much at all, Dawn spends more time with Evan and Kade than with Aiden)

There's the infuriating trope where the other secondary characters all pair up in lesbian relationships (Kade and Del are set up in Conflict, so I had no problem with them but Evan and Laurie is one too many for me).

Evan is an annoying and obnoxious character, so I couldn't warm to her and didn't care about her issues. Also the way her scenes with Dawn were written is kind of creepy. I found myself skipping the stuff with them just because I found it uncomfortable.

The stalker storyline was unnecessary, if it was supposed to add tension, it failed. The best storyline was Kade and Del with Kade's mother and Del's family, but it came too late for me.

My recommendation is if you want to read good stories by Jae read Conflict of Interest, Second Nature, Backwards to Oregon or Something in the Wine, but skip this one.

I really liked how all the characters interacted with each other. It was great to see the ADA finally see Del as a love interest.

After listening to the audiobook of Conflict of Interest I couldn't wait for the next in the series to get out on audiobook so I reread Next of Kin. I didn't enjoy this one as much as book one but it is still a great read. I could read about all the characters in the series for several books and be very happy. Can't for this one to be on audiobook.
