Still a decent read. She's got a good handle on her character, and I was almost less interested in the plot than the protagonist and her experiences; I'd be happy to read another one with Marisa.

There’s some spots where it sticks but ultimately is as absurd as the observations of the narrator. Was very hopeful as a fellow film nerd.

The good:

I like the sneak peak into the film industry
There were a couple jokes that really landed for me
It was an easy, breezy read

The bad:

The podcasting doesn’t add anything at all to the storyline (plus: cringe!)
Some of this shit just do not make sense: can’t be a serial killer because ???; the motivations behind, like, everything
The characters got a little muddy
The resolution was so unsatisfying and I’d even say… unresolved?
