So incredibly good. I own both the hard back copy and the audio. Both are essential! I am very sad that the book is over. It gave me a better understanding of the Trojan war and a feel for the players. I was able to sympathize with many, even Achilles though I am a starch Hector fan. I already miss Stephen Frys voice. Will have to pick up Sherlock Holmes just to hear him again.

Ja mooi toch? Stephen Fry kan gewoon mooi vertellen voor de leken onder ons die geen oud-Grieks kunnen. En omg the Odyssey is er ook al zag ik. I know what I’m asking for Christmas 🫨🫨🫨

Maar goed kijk ik hoop ook dat Fry nog een retelling van de Aeineid doet 😭 PLEASE

I couldn’t actually finish this. After reading Madeline Miller and Natalie Haynes’ versions of mythology, this version seemed so incredibly dull. I like Stephen Fry, but even with him as the narrator, it just dragged.
