I recommend this book if you like:
-action packed scenes
-mystery element
-Jack Reacher series

I absolutely love the TV series so had to give the books a go.

Incredibly well thought out plot and storyline. Breadcrumbs and hints dropped throughout and I had no idea how well it would all come together.

It was very action packed, not what I'm used to reading but I would read another in the series.

Bombs were being made by terrorists and the plan was to blow up the TEDAC centre and they almost got their way if Reacher hadn't figured it out in the nick of time. <\spoiler>

A typical Jack Reacher novel.

Is it my imagination or is Reacher becoming more dismissive of life cuz there's a lot of killing in this book? Granted, they're all bad guys, but still.

And I know Tom Cruise is the physical antithesis of the novels' Jack Reacher, but Cruise does such a good job of portraying Reacher that, in my mind, I now read Reacher's dialogue with Cruise's voice, and I picture Cruise's persona when reading these books.

I was excited to read this, then I was ready to throw it away at page 75. I usually give a book 100 pages in unless it's so brutally awful that I can't take it. I struggled to read up to page 125 then I realized I was wasting my time. I have other books in the TBR pile that came from NetGalley and I need to read and review them. I can't believe I'm saying this - but Reacher is SO BORING in this installment. Ugh. Do not waste your time with this tripe.

Easy fun entertaining read. Nothing to heavy or deep. Just a good action book.

So bad.
This will be my last Jack Reacher book. I’m so disappointed because this has been one of my favorite characters and favorite series. The new style feels a bit like if Tom Cruise decided to make Jack Reacher movies and cast himself as Reacher………

As always, all Reacher books are only rated against other Reacher books. This was a middling Reacher book.

I was about to say, "For Andrew's second outing on the way to taking over the Reacher books, this seems to suffer from the usual sophomore slump," before I realized that I could not remember what The Sentinel was about, so maybe that wasn't as good as I remembered? Although, as I think more, I don't know that I remember specific details of most any Reacher book, since it's just the same story told over and over again.

Reacher, walking alone, rolls into town, and seems something going bad. Reacher doesn't want to get involved. Reacher gets involved. Predictable stuff happens. Reacher elbow and kicks punches people in the the head. There is a mild twist to explain what happens. Reacher wins.

This one just felt, I don't know, forced? Maybe? The no phone thing is getting old. I know grandparents who understand technology better than, "What's Face ID‽" Reacher. Maybe I'm just getting tired of the fluff thriller two fisted punchy punchy the bad guy books? It was still fun, sure, but it wasn't as fun.

It lacked pizzazz.

Fantastic. I’m not sure I like the first person as much, but it was very well done.
