I technically class as a newbie to the Reacher series having begun reading them because my dad was a big fan, so to me I haven’t really noticed too much of a big difference with the passing off the mantle from Lee to Andrew, what I am impressed by is how ever many of these books I read that never get boring or repetitive . The writing is so detailed but still interesting and I just love Reacher, definitely looking forward to more.

Just got my annual Jack Reacher fix and am happy; if you've read the other 25 (like me) you'll want to read this one too :) Not the best in the series, but definitely not the worst, and it's an enjoyable read just like all the others.

Reacher returns to what he does best in this book: drinking coffee and punching his way through a small town with nothing but his ham-sized fists, a government issued ID, and a travel toothbrush. Plus, an explosive ending. If you enjoy the Reacher series, you'll love this one.
I liked this book better than the last couple books (The Sentinel about a small town cyber attack, and Past Tense the one about the comic book couple who end up being hunted by rich dudes).

3.5⭐
YES! Good ol' Reacher's (sorta) back!
Jack Reacher is hitchhiking west towards the Pacific Ocean. He finds himself at Los Gemelos, a tiny Arizona town near the border. He came across a crashed Jeep and helps the driver, who turns out to be a fellow Army veteran, Michaela Fenton. Michaela is searching for her twin brother who may be involved with an atrocious gang led by Waad Dendoncker.
Better off Dead involves terrorist bomb-making and stashing. I loved how this book started, but I won't spoil it. A bit brow raising! Michaela is no ordinary damsel in distress. Her expertise in bomb forensics with Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center (TEDAC) comes into play in searching for her twin brother. Reacher's old self is back when he has to work around some minutiae phone technology. The pace is a bit off and I'm still getting used to Reacher's first-person narrative.
I'm bumping it to four stars since it's a strong improvement from the previous tech heavy book.✌️

A continued exploration into the mind and actions of Jack Reacher. The series continues to show the versatility of Jack Reacher. The one man who seems to have what it takes to get the job done.
