Alice (h) and her friends are abducted by aliens and taken aboard the Titans spaceship, but they end up separated from one another and Alice strikes a deal with the ship's captain, Nighteko (H), in exchange for her return to Earth. Throughout the story, there's an intriguing mix of action, drama, suspense, chemistry, and love as Alice and Nighteko are thrust into a series of challenges, facing betrayals, danger, and daring escapes. As they spend more time together, they develop feelings for each other, leading to a complicated relationship. Their evolving relationship, from initial distrust to a tangled web of emotions, adds depth to things. As the story progresses, Alice and Nighteko undergo notable growth - Alice initially came across as shy, but her surprising strengths come to light, and Nighteko transforms from a seemingly callous captain to a more complex figure. For a first-time author, the world building and interesting characters drive the blend of romance and action. Alien-human abduction romance with lots of action, challenges, and a side of heat.
It was a pleasant surprise. The title does not do it justice. It was just a little bit steamy but wasn't explicit so that's fine. It was such a quick read though.
Tammy Walsh has done it again with more hot alien romance novels! This is the first book in a new series and it is excellent.

This book was definitely full of unexpected suspense! Which I actually really liked. It has original aspects and leaves room for future books in the series. I will say the trafficking part and how it was dealt with was not my fave. Luckily at the end he quit, but for 99% of the book it was on some level somehow considered "acceptable" by all characters. It sat too much on/over the line for me. As someone who loves details, it was hard to really get into this story fully. I didn't care for any of the female characters. It was a fast read and did not have the substance I was looking for. The plotline + character growth felt like they were lacking. Wouldn't say it was very spicy. Thankful for the HEA + originality at least.

I wasn't vibing with it. Maybe I'll give it another try at some later point, but for now, to the pile ya go.
Its ok. Slight forced mating, but mostly the plot is kind of boring/not very imaginative.
adventurous
emotional
fast-paced
One night Alice and five of her closest friends travel to a party town in celebration of their friend's upcoming wedding (bachelorette party) and find themselves being abducted by a UFO/Aliens so they can be sold as slaves to various owners in a world they didn't know existed. Nighteko - the alien smuggling them - gets more than he bargained for when he is forced to trust Alice over his mutinous crew who has been poisoning him in an attempt to challenge his leadership. All in all, this was an average read for me. What could have prompted this to stand out a little more was, and I'm just being honest, the inclusion of more smut. I went into this thinking it was going to be a dirtier read than it was and I think that threw me off a little. The writing, itself, was okay. It just wasn't what I thought it was going to be and, honestly, it veered on the boring side from time to time. However, I have the rest of the series so I'm going to see how those pan out!
