As this story develops, I like it more and more.

”Imagine, a machine melting your heart.”

Tim-21 is so precious, I’m so worried for him all the time!! He’s naive and still has that childlike trust in others that he learned with Andy. I want to give him a hug so bad.

Learning more about Telsa is also a favorite aspect of this series. She’s so stoic and hidden behind veils of anger, it makes all the little moments stand out that much more. Not to mention I just love how she looks. The red amid the watercolor softness makes her “sharp” personality become visually represented on the page!

Now I’m all in, totally invested to see the rest of this series through one volume at a time!

The story is fun, but the art is hit or miss for me. Sometimes it works really well for a scene, but other times I wish that the artist would put in just a little more detail or clean up the lines for clarity a little bit more. The gestural style is nice for some things, but often times the character expressions are just scribbles, which feels less like a style choice and more like the artist didn't have enough time to actually fine-tune the drawings. There are pages/panels that are really stunning, which is why the ones that detract from that are so disappointing. The story itself is pretty predictable so far, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I hope that the next books do a little more to differentiate themselves from basically being a Mass Effect AU.

Art is immaculate (the watercolor on canvas is so nice) and definitely intrigued with where this story is going.

Yesss, now we're cooking. Not only do we get to meet Andy, but this expanded the world in meaningful ways - loved The Between and its people, mostly Queen Between and I am intrigued by her - and also complicated the characters of which I loved all of them. Loved the interplay between Tim-21 and Tim-22, Telsa continues to be phenomenal, and I really did not expect to be charmed by Blugger Vance, but here we are.

At the same time, the watercolor art became more and more beautiful, a real feast for the eyes there. Excited for the next volumes, for sure!
