This book challenged my own biases and internalized sexism. I think some of the author’s privileges were glossed over, but this is a book about her body, not those of others, so I think I can have grace.

An honest, raw and validating look at womanhood through Em Rata considering her relation to her own body throughout her life, culminating in how that relationship changes when she gives birth to her son. This book is female rage encapsulated, and is relatable in its entirety. I would recommend it to anyone.
