This book wasn’t terrible. But I can’t call it good. It was a bit all over the place. There were nuggets of brilliance among a word salad of Instagram posts.

You would probably be better off following f her on the gram and spend time reading something else.

Funny, intelligent musings of a woman figuring things out. I’m convinced that comments of seen about how it’s nonsense or drivel are just not that introspective or deep-thinking, and that’s ok, I guess. But don’t hate on things you don’t understand.

I really enjoyed the first half of this book and using real life moments to connect to a deeper topic. However, halfway through it started definitely feeling more like a lecture than a memoir. I think there are lots of insightful parts to really consider and think about within the context of our own lives. But I do think it's important to remember that this is simply the author's experience and take on life which could be very similar or very different to our own lives/truth.

I made it about halfway through but I’m either not the target audience or not in the right headspace for this one. I’m really glad so many people are getting something out of it, but it’s just not for me.

A book about truth and living authentically. I read with a lump in my throat and wet eyes. Highly recommend.

Untamed to me was a fresh new perspective towards everything I know and believe in. It challenges how our society is used to work and think, in a very casual manner. Doyle’s writing is soothing and very personal, it’s like an old friend telling you bits of her life and how she thinks. I really enjoyed it, I truly felt embraced by her words and way of thinking, so to that thank you Glennon Doyle. Thank you for embracing girls and women to be untamed, to be free, to be.

Halfway through I ordered a physical copy because I absolutely adore this book. 5 full stars. Glennon’s reflections on parenting, navigating this world as a woman, finding herself and setting boundaries all touched me so deeply and I will be annotating a hardcover promptly. Could not love this more. I’m late to the game because I was worried this would be surface level, cheesy or read as self help. This read as a revelation. Growing up conservative Christian and deconstructing that programming myself, this was just fantastic and worth all the hype. If I ever have a daughter she will read this book.
