When I first began the book, I wasn’t sure I was “getting it.” I think normally I felt this way about a book or movie thats suddenly very popular and getting raving reviews. But as I read on, I started feeling excited and began to understand just what the book was trying to say - so it started to really speak to me. I don’t highlight in many of my books, but there’s so much GOOD in here that I want to be able to find again. Highly recommend.

I think I will read this book again later this year. I enjoyed it quite a lot.

Initially felt some confusion over the format, but as I moved along, I got more comfortable with the subtopics.

I particularly loved this quote:
“Do I really want any of this or is this what I was conditioned to want?”
I think this is a question that we need to frequently ask ourselves as it allows us to formulate lives that truly make us happy as opposed to following the status quo.

I also liked how it covered the issues of patriarchy, racism, and religion.

I had previously read 'Love Warrior' and it is night and day in terms of the narrating between this book and that one (in the best way). It's absolutely inspiring to see Glennon come into her own, and this book creates hope for those who feel like they're barely finding themselves later in life. I really enjoyed that she weaved in parenting, social/political, and even religious topics that naturally and personally praise AND criticize. This is definitely a book that I will want to get as a physical copy for emotional support.

Dejé de ser una mujer que creía que otra persona me completaría cuando comprendí que había nacido entera.

Must, must read for any and all women. The fact that I have more than 140 highlights from this book saved says it all. READ THIS.

I listened to an audiobook of this and barely held on for the ending. I found myself rolling my eyes at the quirky little sayings and metaphors. (Find your touch tree. You’re a god damn cheetah!) Every conversation seemed incredibly forced and unbelievable. I feel like this was a total waste of time.

Just kinda boring as an audio book. Interested in reading the physical copy.
