A great read!! I think the characters are by far the strongest piece of this story — Hana is complex and layered and an excellent narrator/protagonist. I enjoyed the story and I found it unlike a lot of other contemporary/romance I’ve read. It tackled some serious subjects with intention and grace, which I really appreciated. At times, there was so much going on that I felt certain threads got dropped, but everything resolved well and I liked the ending.

I don’t usually read rom-coms, but this also isn’t your typical rom-com. The format with the interspersed podcast transcripts and text messages was an interesting break within the text - and the Muslim representation and honest depiction of culture was insightful and well overdue. The publishing industry needs more of this!

I loved this book more than Ayesha At Last! This has more feeling to it I think, thanks to Hana's POV. The Muslim rep was spot on, just like in Ayesha.

Hana Khan Carries On is not the typical sitch where the MC has to sacrifice her hopes and dreams to help her family---the complete opposite. I love that she still finds time to support her family and their business through hard times, even if she has some of her own. Hana and Aydin's dynamic was just the best 'cause of their frenemies-to-lovers arc, which, if you ask me, was one of the best things I've ever read. I just SWOONED when Aydin confessed to Hana about falling for her (spoiler! lol). Like my heart was beating like mad and I was about to tear up.

Rashid, the cousin with never-ending hijinks, is so wholesome and my fav character. Kawkab Khala is such an awesome aunt. She can adopt me if she wanted haha.

I loved the ending most of all, and it wrapped up the book so well that I was sad that I finished the story in barely a day when I should've read more slowly. Sighs. The cons of a good story.

More plot than I expected from a romance and the characters weren't the most developed but I still largely enjoyed.

A mostly enjoyable read. The main reasons why I can’t rate it higher than three stars are that there are a few too many plot lines (some a little ridiculous), and that the ending is rushed and thus unsatisfying after the buildup.
