After a rocky start with book one this series has really grown on me.

I loved Sprite and Keir. I think I actually liked this more because Keir was half in love with Sprite before knowing the full story.

I maybe questioned the way Sprite struggled with the Master Whirlwind, I felt he should of been able to deal with her with ease, but then I guess there would of been less story. I am gonna believe it was because Sprite ran away so early and so was not trained properly like it was kinda explained. Again these could be that much better if only they were longer and we got just that bit more detail.

But as shorts these are both sweet and entertaining. I am looking forward to the next book, I loved Lichen

This might be my favorite so far. I think in some ways because it's easier to believe in Sprite and Keir's relationship given how many years Sprite's been following him around as a "ghost." Despite having never truly shown himself, it's clear from the start that there's a relationship between them and Keir knows his ghost is more than the breeze that blows around him.

I liked these two together and I appreciated the fight Sprite had to go through both against one of the members of his own caste gone power mad, and also with his own demons about returning to the Monastery at all. He'd do anything for Keir though and that relationship sustains him. I was cheering for these two from the jump. Keir has such faith in the dragon he cannot see. He knows who Sprite is to him and trusts that he'll be there when he's needed.

I really enjoy this world. They're such a quick bite set of stories, but I'm enjoying where the story goes as the Oracle is still trying to prevent the rot from spreading. Cleaning out her own house is just as important as certain courts across the sea.

Good addition - the monastery has problems with their members and while the Oracle had to divert resources to fix the greater problem, now eyes are turning inward as the problems of the last two books show that the caste members are now some of the problems
I liked both Mc's and they worked well together.

I’m still not sure exactly how to rate this one, while it was good I didn’t enjoy it as much as the previous book and I can’t pin point why.
I did like it, I loved Keir and Sprite. They worked so well together. I felt for sprite and the way he was treated at the monastery. The castes seem to have big problems with members at the moment and they need the dragons to stand up, but it truely amazes me the lack of respect that was shown to Sprite. Regardless of the castes feelings he is the highest ranking in the caste.
