I liked how the epilogue was told through the perspective of someone outside of the main story, someone who was neutral to kind to the main character. And pups!!!

Not what I expected, but enjoyed it

I have a bit of trouble reconciling the “animal-ish” character and a human character being intimate, but this worked. It was romantic and loving. I enjoyed their relationship. Super quick read, better than I initially judged it (I know we’re not supposed to do that lol).

Lupi finding his human mate who then also becomes a lupi. Love a tender “monster” who ends up being better than previous MMCs.

This is not a shifter world, this is straight up Wolf-Man.

I want to say that I LOVE that Lucy is older. I love that she's practical the entire story, though she is a little self-deprecating. In a distopian-ish world, that makes sense. Overall the smut overtakes the plot and I have a lot of questions about Gral's culture that weren't answered.
