A diverting story with an intelligent and hardworking woman who - like the rest of Browne's heroines - can't stand up for herself, and ends up successful almost in spite of herself. Just the same, she's funny and warm and very likable and you definitely root for her. I do like Hester Browne a lot. I thought this one threw in some weird, conspicuous pop culture references (LK Bennett shoes / Kate Middleton; FaceTime) and some abrupt and seemingly random plot points, but I enjoyed Rosie just the same. Happy, light fare.

The end results were kind of obvious, but I liked this book like I like all of the Hester Browne books I've read.

There's always room in my life for a predictable, clean, romance- especially of the British variety.

Not my favorite of hers, sadly. I LOVED her first books and had such high hopes for this, but it didn't quite meet them somehow.

As with all Hester Browne novels, Honeymoon Hotel is a feel good, love story with a relatable heroine. I am a long time Hester Browne fan and will continue to read any book she publishes, but this one seemed a bit too cliche and the resolution too contrived. The saving grace for me was the characters. Browne writes characters that feel realistic and easy to sympathize with. Although this wasn't my favorite of her novels I eagerly await the next.

*****Copy provided by Netgalley in return for an honest review.

I dithered between four and five stars for this, but have given 5 because I really did enjoy it and I'm feeling generous/kind.

Hester Browne creates the sort of characters that you wish you were more like. For example, I'm really quite shy, not good with strange people and have never organised a bit event in my life so a wedding organiser job in a hotel would emphatically be Not For Me, but while I was reading Honeymoon Hotel I thought it sounded like a fabulous, perfect job for me and was imagining myself wandering around in Rosie's high heels (which I hardly ever wear because they make my feet hurt) and dealing with neurotic, crazy brides like it was a walk in the park.

Hester Browne's works are generally ok, but not attention grabbing and read in two days the way Sophia Kinsella and Emily Giffin ones tend to be. Honeymoon Hotel, which should have been called wedding hotel since it had nothing to do with honeymoons, was filled with fluff and semi fakish characters. The plot was plodding at best.

Hester Browne's books are cute and fun, but this one wasn't as enjoyable for me as her others, especially the "Honey" series. I was especially disappointed with the scene where the hero and heroine finally got together. After so much build-up, I imagined a really fun scene, and just didn't get it. Barely 3 stars.
