Another great historical fiction novel from this author based on an iconic NYC landmark! Set during the era of McCarthyism, the stories of Hazel and Maxine intertwine as their friendship grows and they support each other through personal and professional challenges. When secrets are revealed, each must decide where their loyalties truly lie. Once again, the author's note gives interesting information as to the research that went into the writing.
