I liked a lot about this book! I learned quite a bit about the McCarthy era and its effect on the entertainment industry, which is a period in history I previously knew nothing about. Fiona Davis does a great job of weaving historical information into the personal stories of her fictional characters and vice versa. I also found it compelling that the two main perspectives alternated and drew the reader in on both sides of the conflict, with both women having complex reasoning for the (sometimes questionable) choices they made.
