Very informative and a pretty engaging read for historical non-function. At times, it was hard to follow the timeline and the book could have been shortened. The foreshadowing was a bit too on the nose at times, and some parts seemed to be written (or at least spoken in the audiobook) in an overly dramatic way. I also was frustrated that the author was not at all critical of Elizabeth. Although by no means justification for the treatment of her, Elizabeth seemed at times to be unable to accurately read people and situations and I wish the author would have acknowledged that possibility. But overall, it was a compelling re-telling for a compelling and very impressive woman!
