A strange read as plot points would be introduced and wrapped up with just a few short pages, while at the same time not moving the plot forward in any meaningful way. The romance was shallow and I found the characters just as shallow. I only finished this book because I was buddy reading and therefore I had an obligation to finish.
The writing style was interesting and compelling enough to keep me reading, there was never a point where I was downright bored or feeling like I really didn't want to read it.
I wanted to discover what romantasy was all about and I think this book did that well enough.

I really enjoyed it, but sometimes I couldn't stand the FMC. Sometimes she was so naive! There are two persons that you trust who are saying to you to not trust a guy, and you do what? You don't believe them and start trusting the guy. Then there was the moment she discovered the truth about the MMC and she doesn't make him speak to explain himself! Definitely child behavior. Nonetheless, I liked how the plot developed and the end was perfect from my point of view. I would have loved to see more about their happy ending!
