A must read for everyone. Especially in the year of the girl we are having, turn your attention to this collection of short stories by all black authors ranging in age, era, and genre. I was riveted by this and since it’s under 200 pages, it’s easy to squeeze in in one sitting! It was also, shamefully, my first exposure to some of these fantastic authors, like Toni Morrison, and I’m itching to dive into her world now (and all of the other women as well). Highly recommend.
