Wow. This book was mind blowing. Best book I've read in 2022. It started of a bit slow but picked up its pace after a few chapters. There is a 1% chance you might predict who did it but you won't be able to predict the how and why he/she killed the people they killed. This book made me want to take a skiing trip RIGHT NOW (but unfortunately that's not possible since it's the end of skiing season and so I'll wait for December) . Anyways, this book is definitely a must read if you are in a cozy-fireplace-thriller-kinda mood while it is still cold out there.
Spoiler alert
I just don't understand one thing. When Liz went upstairs to her room to use washroom and opened her suitcase. She realised it wasn't the same place she put it. There are only two possibilities. First is that Erin went to look in Liz's room. But it can't be her because she said she didn't go to Liz's room. Besides she didn't have enough time to go to her room after going to Elliot's and then going back again to Miranda's room. Second possibility is that Topher did it when he went to Liz's room while he was crying. It was all an act and he was suspicious of Liz and wanted to search her room. And then he found the suitcase and figured out that Liz was the one but then why didn't he say? Maybe he didn't open the suitcase just touched and put it back in place because of lack of time. But there is still the fact that why didn't he say he tried to search Liz's room in the end where they all meet up at hotel at St. Antoine le Lac? If anyone has a prediction about this please do say so I can sleep peacefully tonight.

Fairly traditional murder-mystery/ whodunit type book. The action starts pretty quickly- so much so I was very confused as to why audible was telling me I still had 85% of the book left.
I liked this one a lot. My new ranking of Ruth Ware books are:
The woman in cabin 10 (amazing setting, great cast of characters)
Death of Mrs Westaway (strong Knives Out vibes)
One by One (tied for 3rd. Very engaging)
Turn of the key (first 90% is great. Creepiest by far)
In a dark, dark wood (first one I read. Good)
Lying Game (eh.)

Oh my god! Unpopular opinion but I loved it!!!! Ruth Ware’s books are just getting better! The twists! The end! The two POVs! The everything!!!! Wowowwow! Loved it! Not sure what it is in relation to turn of the key (my previous fav) but doesn’t matter. I really enjoyed it! So good!

Because of course the autistic-coded character is the psychopath killer. I'm fed up of autistic people being presented in this way.

Another great standard mystery from Ruth Ware. Her writing definitely seems to have stepped up a bit in this book compared to some of her earlier novels.
