Loved this short nugget of a story. The characters were interesting, and premise was unique. Gross out and loved it. Gotta catch the sequel

Yall, I have read some vile stuff. This ranks up there with Woom (Ralston) and Zola (McCluskey). It will make your stomach churn.

Here, we have our main character, Tristan. Tristan goes from being an only child to being a big brother and he is not happy about the drastic shift in the amount of attention he gets from his mom and her sh*tty husband. So - he decides that payback is in order. This is a quick and fast-paced read that extreme horror lovers won’t want to miss.

While certainly cringey, it is also dark at times and SA is included. Be sure to check your triggers because I care about your mental wellbeing.

Love you! 💜

**Thank you so much to Lesley Camphouse for providing me with an ARC of Ingest Me in return for my honest opinion.  Expected pub date April 5th, 2025.**

Can someone please pass me a Tums? I have the “I’ve been trying not to vomit the whole time reading this” stomach

My Splatterpunk and Extreme Horror peeps- you’re in for a treat! Well, a nasty treat anyways.

The first 40% of the book is absolutely nauseating (and believable). Think big brother feeding disgusting things to his baby sister. Then we get into the brother experimenting with things he shouldn’t, which leads to toxic masculinity. I don’t want to say much more because you really need to experience your emotions in this novella.

What I can say is, check your triggers- there are a variety of them in this book. This book is vile. I’m absolutely fatigued from reading it. The writing and story are solid- I’m appalled (in a good way?). Bravo Lesley- this books is NUTS.
