The cosy café on the bustling beach welcomes tourists and locals for steaming coffees and delicious homemade cakes. But when Brittany receives mysterious notes from a customer will they lead her to the happy ending she’s always dreamed of?
This was definitely my favourite of the series - I really loved being on Brittany’s self discovery and healing from past traumas journey. Her character development was amazing and it really had me rooting for her that she got the happily ever after that she deserved. I also really liked Ryan and Isabella who are new to Sand Dollar Cove, as well as seeing returning characters from the previous books in the series.
I loved the lush descriptions of Sand Dollar Cove - I felt like I could picture the town and what it looks like, which made me want to be able to visit this fictional town.
I do wish that certain chapters were longer as they felt unresolved and like they were ending on cliffhangers. There were also some things mentioned that I would have liked to see implemented within the story, like making the meals cheaper for the folks at the senior centre, as it is mentioned quite a bit in this book.
⚠️ CWs: grief, cursing, derogatory language; mentions child abuse, cancer, death, drowning, death, body shaming and controlling behaviour ⚠️
