I have been recommended this book by a few people. My friend said how much she'd enjoyed it and how funny it was.

She wasn't wrong, what a story. I work in a section of the local council that helps adults in care homes and living in the community, so this book was right up my street.

I love that this is based in a care home/retirement home setting. The weekly jigsaw and other 'social meetings' is spot on. I hope that when I am old and can no longer live at home that my hubby and I and friends moved somewhere like this (aside from the murders of course 🤣).

I loved the humour in this book, having listened to the interview at the end of the audiobook Richard shared that the humour wasn't really what he intended but the characters just sort of made it. Well however it happened I'm here for it.

I adored all of the characters, they each had their own qualities, even Ian, the book wouldn't have been the same or riled up Red Ron at the meeting, without Ian being who he was.

Each possible suspect for the murder was perfectly written and I didn't know who it could have been through most of the book. There were many things uncovered about the Garden of Eternal rest some that were completely unexpected and it was so good when it was all uncovered.

Can't wait to get into the second book.

Read this after seeing it hyped up everywhere. Was a little bit disappointed, though still enjoyed overall. Too many storylines going on in my opinion.
