This whole series made me feel like I was living up in the Ribs on Godsgrave, swimming in the sands of the Ashkahi dessert, praying in the hall of Eulogies, fighting in the arenas in the Venatus Magni and even walking the shelves of the athenaeum marveling on the beauty and danger of this three books in my own bookshelves. This series wrapped the story of our favorite anti-hero, Mia, like a bow in a Christmas gift. I had the luck of finding this series in one of my recommendations here on Goodreads and I’ve been forever changed and touched by the pages in these books. Jay kristoff promises a gutting, smutty, violence-filled story and he doesn’t disappoint. What he doesn’t tell you but Old Mercurio does, is that you will love this girl as much as she love the shadows. It broke my heart and it mended it somehow again inside my chest but it was worth every stitch.

As playful and beautiful the writing is, there is nothing I could do to make myself care about the end of this story. I was SO FUCKING BORED! This took me months to finish and if not for the love and adoration of the fans of this series, I wouldn’t have done it. Honestly, I think my rating of the series as a whole has been generous because, I wanted to love it more than I did.
Mister Kindly will always have a special place in my heart though. What I wouldn’t give for a sarcastic shadow cat to follow me everywhere and judge my life choices while feeding off of my anxiety.

First we had Nevernight - full of assassin's, then we had Godsgrave - full of gladiators and now we have Darkdawn - full of Pirates and gods at war.

I was hesitant at first, when a child is introduced as a main character in stories, I usually loathe it. Specially spoilt brats like Lucius, but he grew on me like he grew as a character. As did Ashlinn.

I love every one of the characters in these Chronicals and I am so sad it is now over.

Thank you Jay Kristoff.

Omg i finally finished this trilogy
I cant even believe it, i will miss so much these characters. But now i can say i really love these books so f*cking much.

I have to say this was the weakest in the trilogy, i battled so much to get into the history, idk i think it took me so long to get to the plot almost half of the book but when you get there you cant put it down.

Also i really didnt like the way Mia dies, i was waiting something more epic, but it was good anyway.

I’m sure that there is nothing wise or original I can say about this book (and series), because it is so widely adored. So, I’ll just say this: it’s adored for good reason! I’m so happy to have read Mia’s story. And, the writing, so original and sassy and fun. I was thoroughly delighted and heartbroken.

Quite possibly one of my all time favorite trilogies. I loved it. I cried. I am going to have a book hangover after this one.

I am crying like a baby. Don't ask me to write a review, I just can't.
