Lynn Painter's male characters are all cat lovers and the villains all hate cats and that makes me laugh. Also wait - what does it mean that this is Mr. Wrong Number #2? What is Mr. Wrong #1 about? I didn't feel like I needed to read Mr. Wrong #1 to read the second one??

I seriously hated this! The dialogue was cringy at best, and the love interest sucked!!! The only reason this gets two stars instead of one is because it was a quick read and I actually managed to finish it.

For one, Jack purposefully broke up Hallie’s relationship with Alex (who even though she didn’t like him that much and they definitely wouldn’t have lasted, was an absolute sweetheart). And no one will be able to tell convince me Jack didn’t mean to break them up, he actively tried to sabotage their dinner date, before he told Alex that her dating him was a bet and that Hallie was only with him because she was desperate to win a bet???? AND THEN JACK JUST WATCHED HER CRY AFTER ALEX BROKE UP WITH HER WITHOUT TELLING HER IT WAS HIS FAULT. If he truly cared for her he would not have done any of this, he should have sucked it up and been the man he pretends to be:)

They would without a doubt get divorced one day!!!!

2.75 ⭐️"How is it that I lived my entire life without him, but now, just like that, I can’t even remember the before?"

a lighthearted romance with some entertaining moments, but it doesn't quite hit the mark. the plot centred around a high-stakes bet on love, feels pretty predictable and lacks depth. while i enjoyed it more than the first book in the series, it still didn’t fully deliver. the characters are charming and there are a few sweet scenes, but overall, the story feels a bit clichéd. it’s a fun read, but it could have used a bit more originality and excitement to really stand out.

This was a super fun, quick read. It being dual pov was just the icing on the cake. It was funny without being too over the top. The will they won't they after they already had was infuriating in the BEST of ways.

I really only picked this up because Zachary Webber was narrating the male lead for the audiobook. I would listen to that man read a manual on how to make toilet paper. If he were my flight attendant, I would listen with undivided attention to his instructions. I am obsessed with him.

I am not sure if I would have given this 4 stars if not for the narration. The story was fun and simple.

A great palate cleanser.

Once again Lynn Painter won me over with hilarious banter, adorable moments, lovable characters and an all around amazing story.
