This was fun but I wish we got a little more back story on how both Hallie and Jack got to where they are. Also I feel like jacks job got mentioned like it was gonna be this cool plot point and then never mentioned again. But overall seeing them fall in love was fun but the miss communication at the end drove me NUTS.
De todos los libros que he leído de la autora, probablemente es el más flojo, pero como lectura ligera está muy bien. Tened en cuenta que aunque es autoconclusivo, es una segunda parte del libro Señor núm. desconocido (nos cuenta la historia del hermano), así que hay personajes que ya nos presentan en el primer libro. Un romance cuqui y ligero.

The score was a tough call because on the one hand I adored the first two thirds of the book. The characters and their bantering were amazing, the dialogues (inner and otherwise) very enjoyable. I had the time of my life. BUT. The last third was EXTREMELY frustrating because the characters acted in ways contrary to basic logic. Though I could understand some of their motives, I had a hard time enjoying the ride. They sabotaged KNOWINGLY their own happiness, acting stupid, hurting each other and ending up in dump trope-like situations that I have read in a few books before and have never been able to enjoy. Sadly, that part spoiled my fun in reading. I am disappointed because I liked the characters and their relationship and honesty very much up to that point.

Cute book! Lynn Painter knows how to write a compelling and sweet romance, and this is just what that is. Unfortunately, though, that is the only thing it is. I did not feel emotionally invested in either of the characters' lives outside of the romance. I did love their banter though!
