Excuse me while I go scream in my pillow over how cute this book was! I loved the book trope reference, and I laughed out loud at several parts. This book was breath of fresh air.

Thank you, NetGalley and Michael Joseph, Penguin Random House, for a gifted copy of this book.

Lynn Painter's 'The Love Wager' was my first time trying her work - it was amazing!

This read was seriously entertaining. I could've blitzed it in 24 hours if I didn't have other stuff to read.

The jokes, plus the fast-moving plot, made me want to keep picking this up. The writing style was so good that I was right in there with Jack and Hallie's mission to find love. They're both incredibly lovable and fresh. It was pretty obvious how it was going to end, but that's why we read this kind of stuff, right?

I'm so excited to read more by this author, can't wait to see what comes next!

If you are a Rom-Com fan, you will adore ‘The Love Wager.’

Publication is due on 30th March, so order a copy today!

This was so fun and cute, I really liked their banter and witty personalities. Lynn's books always hit every single time.

This definitely could of been 100 pages if they just communicated though, it did drive me insane because I hate the miscommunication trope. Just talk please.

I love Lynn Painter’s YA novels. However, her adult romance novels are not up to the same standard. I found Hallie and Jack very immature to the point where it felt like they were in high school and not adults.
Friends to lovers is a fantastic trope, but for me this was not a good one.

Cute and predictable. Extra star for the P&P references.

do i think this book is terrible?
- no
but am i also positive i would forget everything that happened here within the next couple of hours?
- definitely yes.

i think i prefer Lynn Painter's YA books more than her adult books. These are just forgettable while her YA books are some of the best.
