I liked this story more than the previous one in the series! I’m actually pretty happy I read through it. The banter between Jack and Hallie was fun, and you could genuinely see them becoming best friends on top of everything else going on.
There was a couple of tropes in here that I found kinda annoying, such asthe miscommunication, oh he loves her, she loves him. And when she said I DEFINITELY don’t like you, even though she already did, I found that so childish. But overall, I thought it was good! I almost DNF’d a few times because some of the trope-y ness of the book was getting out of hand, but I’m glad I didn’t. Most of the parts I didn’t like would get resolved pretty quickly.

I absolutely loved this! I’ve never read anything by Lynn Painter before and really didn’t know what to expect with this but I had such a fun time. I thought Jack was very hot, probably partially bc I listened to it on audio and the guy who voiced him had a hot voice. Will def be reading more of her stuff!!!
Ok this was sooooo sweet I really do love a Lynn Painter book! This was my first not-YA of hers and I was very happy with it

Amazing. Such romcom vibes. Banter was hilarious. This book made me feel everything and more, laugh, cry, anger and so much more. I loved it so much and I will definitely be reading Lynn Painter again!
