A good WWII book but felt a lot of the parts with the French Resistance came directly from The Paris Girls. A good read with a happy ending and the twin aspect was interesting it fell flat otherwise.

This book is an amazing masterpiece showing love, loss, and heartbreak set against the backdrop of World War 2. The stories of Vivian and April made my heart swell to a level it had never reached before at their unforgettable romances with different, swoon-worthy heroes. The whole book fills the suspense an romantic side of every personality type. I would one hundred percent recommend this book to anyone a fan of novels about the human experience. You will start crying by the time the book is over, just a fair warning.

The book started very slow and I struggled to get into it. The mid book switch was a bit expected but the way the second half of the book wrapped up was just wonderful. Especially the ending. I very much enjoyed how it was brought together.

But we all have to find a way to keep going. We need to know that it'll get easier, and life will be good again."
