this is the best persephone and hades retelling i’ve read so far (reason being that in this story hades didn’t force persephone to be with him). the plot was neglected somewhere in the middle of the book. the end was maybe a little bit rushed but overall the plot was pretty good.

Listen, did I skim the shit out of this book to get to the smut? Yes, a 1000% 😜 I did read every page - kind of 😜 - until p214, from there on out, only the smut cause I have 0 interest in any drama or anything else, sorry definitely not sorry 🤭😘

i liked this hades and persephone retelling a lot but my only issue was the lack of world building and i felt like it was barely a retelling and the only thing they did was name all these characters after greek gods but hades and persephone were sexy so i will ignore it

I tried really really hard to love this book. But it ended up just being meh for me.
The story line was good, the world building was just okay, but I really feel like this lacked much character depth. I expected some major character development, but it just wasn’t there for me.
As of right now I won’t be continuing the series. But could pick it back up in the future when I’m in the mode for this genre.
