How is this smutty novella with only 2 smut scenes? At first it was fun but then it annoyed me. Turned out very childish!

Girl gets lost in the mountain and is taken to the mountain man’s house then gets snowed in. Turns out he makes adult toys and she wants to help him test them. He has a dog, is a recluse that lives in the mountain, and is shunned by the villagers. She is a talkative ball of sunshine, the biggest difference from The Grinch is that she’s the one with green hair.
I wasn’t expecting much from a novella less than 100 pages that was supposed to be spicy but somehow I was still disappointed. I actually think had this been 100 pages of basically just smut I would’ve liked it more. My problem is that it tried to have an entire storyline with spicy scenes in under 100 pages!!
Unless the characters are crazy or not human that kind of development doesn’t make sense. It’s why Ice Planet Barbarians works because the excuse is that they’re not human, it doesn’t need to make sense, biologically and mentally they have different timelines than we do. However, both of these characters are human and it takes place in the timespan of a week. There’s also only two descriptive spicy scenes so it wasn’t smutty enough for a quick spicy read and the plot development was too quick to actually care for their relationship. I actually hoped they wouldn’t end up together because it made no sense to me.
Read it if you want something short and to the point. It was a holiday read for me and broke up the space while I was between books. I won’t read it again but it also didn’t require a lot of time to get through.

This was a very sweet read! Just enough slow burn. The ending felt a little rushed. I wish there was a smidge more between the final chapter and the epilogue. Their love story is so different with the tie to Christmas. I overall very much enjoyed it!
