Just a fast paced, steamy romance. No real time to think about the fact that it’s all a bit logical and there really isn’t much plot. But I enjoyed the read enough.
Plus he has a cute dog, Comet. Reminds me of Max from The Grinch (2018). I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, all books are better with a cute dog.
The spice wasn’t really for me. Not so much the level but the wording he used in his interactions with her. Just an instant way to alienate me from the story (“my pretty w….”, “answer me, s…”).
Just feel like it’s fine if someone is being dominant, but those words just grind my gears a bit.
