I wanted to read this because of the dedication. To be honest, I took it as a bet. The dedication: To everyone who reads holiday smut with a straight face. Good luck.
Now don't get me wrong, the sleigh scene was good-good. I enjoyed that and it gave the rating one more star than I would have given. This was just insta-lust and fluff and it took too long (for me) to get the smut. I was thinking halfway into the book, are they ever going to get together? The profession that Griffin has as a sex toy designer was interesting but there could have been so much more. It was just the sleigh toy and then one scene where they do actually have sex and then it skipped to the end of the week together. I wish that it had been more of them together whether it was soft moments, sex, or whatever versus the build-up which took a while for them to actually get together.
Now, did I actually struggle reading this and break a straight face? No. But, I chalk that up to the fact that I read a lot of romance so there is very little that phases me now. Overall a cute holiday read if you need some fluff/want to get out of a reading rut.
