All I have is regret. This is not for me but I'm sure it is for somebody
I got a huge "Supernatural"-ish vibe from this book. At least with the Wardens fighting demons and all. Sometimes I hated Layla, sometimes I felt so sorry for her. Personally, I don't see what she sees in Zayne, he's boring. But Roth...so not boring. I can't wait to read the next book, already put the ebook on hold at the library. :D
Also, Jennifer L. Armentrout may be my new favorite author.

Only one author who have written about sexy aliens and smoke hot demi-Greek Gods would use the eternal battle between good and evil in such way!
"White Hot Kiss" is the best combination of comedy, where demons have names of Dinesy characters (OMG!) and gargoyles become the must on the good side, which reminds me of "The Beautiful and the Cursed".
Layla has a secret; she can't kiss anyone, unless she takes his soul in the proccess. When a Demon named Roth enters her life after lower deomns began threatening her, Layla would find herself in the middle of a battle and... hmmm temptation! (since Roth doesn't have a soul!" :*
And the ending? It's one of those which leaves you hanging, wondering, crying and demanding the NEXT BOOK!
And since the next time I'll leave you with a quote, I ADORED!
I lost myself the day I found you

This was an entertaining and fun reading!
The story and context reminds me of the kind of books/tv shows that I appreciated as a teen/YA. The character of Roth is so funny and charming. I love this kind of MMC. The plot twist where predictable but it was ok with my mood at the moment. I wasn't feeling for a complex world building.
I love JLA's books and her characters. I will definetely read the next books of this series.

My gosh this book was just as good as I remembered it being. I honestly forgot a lot of what happened and I sincerely have no idea what is going to go on in my reread of the next two books other than a few tiny plot details.
Overall this book was just addicting and fun and an easy read. I love the characters and the plot. It was also so nostalgic reading this because I first read it three and a half years ago. Honestly I want to dive into the second book right now even though I'm trying to spread my reread out until the release of Storm and Fury.

Soooo, I finished this book in a day haha, and I loved it! The idea of this book was so intriguing to me, and I loved the way that JLA explored that although something is "pure", that doesn't mean that they actually are. I loved the idea of gargoyles being one of the main creatures in this book, since I have never read a book with them in it before! This book was more of a slow burn than From Blood and Ash, but the romance was still super steamy. Roth is a black haired demon with tattoos and kittens - what more do you want?! I really enjoyed this book and I already have the sequels ordered and on the way to me, so if you are a fan of JLA's other work, Sarah J Maas, or Laura Thalassa, I would definitely recommend this series!
