interesting premise, poor execution, some details just felt randomly added and jumping back and forth.

Well.. For most part the book was rather thoughtprovoking. The idea of aging and dying horrifies me, so this made an interesting read. What would be the world like if we didn't age. How would that affect resources and how fast would be run out of room? These topics aren't in focus in the book, but made me think about it nonetheless. I liked how to the story progressed over many decades, there was plenty of action in the first decades. In the latter once there's a sense of defeat, or so it seems, but maybe it's committing to the main character? Who is kind of wondering, does he have a reason to live anymore...

The End Specialist had so much potential. The book surrounds the fallouts after a cure for aging is found which allows the people to not die (although they can still die from getting sick or murder or cancer). I thought it would be such a good read, but alas the concept of the book was the only redeemable thing about it. The protagonist had no depth, was not relatable and basically snoretastic. The whole book was long and drawn out.

2/5 generous stars.
recommend to; people who need help falling asleep, people who have too much excitement and they just need some bordom to balance them out.

Good premise, bad execution.

First half of the book was okay. We see the epidemic of the "Death cure" and how it is gradually destroying the nation and people are protesting (pro/anti cure) and all that. Afterwards the book just kind of fell through. The plot became a mess and there was no proper sequence. It feels as though the author did not put any thought into it and just didn't know how to complete the book. Hence, he threw in some random factors in it to make it interesting.

Overall, it could be better. I am highly disappointed as the first half of the book really captivated my attention and it is such a unique storyline that it could've done SO MUCH BETTER.
