چیزی که خاصش میکرد،این بود که بالارخه یه کتاب ترسناک سیستماتیک پیدا کردم.که روح ها و اینا عشقی اون وسط ول نبودن.

I finished this book in like a few hours. I loved it and i am happy that it’s a series of 5 books and i still can enjoy it.

Read this book because of the Netflix show, only to find out it was cancelled. Sigh. Really liked it, very easy to read and the interactions between Lucy, Lockwood and George are funny and never boring. I'll definitely continue reading this series

I picked up this book because of the TV series. Despite knowing what was going to happen, I was thoroughly thrilled. The book was I intriguing, suspenseful, and fabulously enjoyable. I look forward to reading the next book.

I haven't written many reviews for Goodreads yet, but felt this one deserved some explanation given how it's categorized. For a book marketed on Amazon as children's fiction, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the series. My interest was piqued by the Netflix adaptation, so I wanted to give the series a try (also, a little YA Fiction never hurt anyone). I was pleasantly surprised by the way in which Stroud builds this world right out of the gate without a pandering, boring explanation in the very first chapter. The book is extremely readable for adults - his descriptions of characters from Lucy's POV made me chuckle and didn't smack me in the face with unoriginal teen sarcasm (I love quality sarcasm, but this series doesn't overdo it IMO). The characters are all interesting in their own right, and the differences between the book and show adaptation were understandable given the translation. Usually, differences like that would both me, but I think if anything it just emphasizes the creativity that can be used in this universe. I'm excited to continue this series and would recommend to anyone who loves a good ghost hunt!
