This was just a lot of fun (though honestly, some of the ghost scenes were almost too spooky for me... Yes, I scare easily, but still!)!
Stroud is a master at world building, and it really paid off here. This book is a brilliant blend of mystery, the Supernatural, humour, & horror as well. The characters and plot kept me intrigued throughout, and I can certainly see this being popular with many YA readers!

Read this book like 8 years ago and loved it
Thi time though i decided on listening it as an audio book and... damn. One of the best audio book experiences i have ever had.
The characyer of Lucy was a great, fun character when read, but as audio book she's one of my favorite female characters by a country mile.
Soft spoken, witty with a dry sense of humor a raw need to help those she cares about. Ome of those characters you simply want to meet and have a drink with and one that, once the book is finished, you sorely miss.
5/5 though i would give it a 10 if i could

Surprisingly good! Loved it, although a more suitable title could've been 'Combe Carey Hall,' although that's not as cool sounding.
