I'm unsure why I never reviewed this on my first read, but I will now.

Books 1-3 of the Deliver series together in the audiobook. They are all intense in their own way; this series is about the trafficking of ... well, lots. They are all standalone books but should be read in order. The character development is impeccable, and the angst and suspense throughout make this series worth reading, but check your triggers first.

Book 1, Deliver.
This sets up the rest of the books, and we see the beginning of the series with Live and Josh. He's a college football player, and she's a "deliverer." She's just about tired of working for Mr. E, and something about Josh draws her in. We also meet some of the side characters in the next eight books.

Book 2, Vanquish, Van and Amber's book. Go in, knowing you will probably hate Van a lot. And Amber is suffering her own demons. It's a great to watch these two broken people learn a lot from each other.

Book 3, Camilla and Mattias, shows more about Camilla. I won't spoil anything by going into detail about her, but she is trying to take down trafficking and decides to inject herself into a bad situation willingly...

I loved this series the first time I read it, and nothing has changed other than maybe liking it even more.

I struggled with the rating but it really is a 4.5 ... these books are not for the weak at all lol but it was so good and being that it's set in Texas was even crazier.. I love dark romances and this is definitely at the top of my list

Deliver-

At first I wasn't even sure I could read it. Deliver has some seriously dark situations that may cause even those that think they are hardened to get nauseous or nervous. But my desire to know exactly what happens pulled me deeper into a world I fear.

Deliver has a seriously impressive meaning that filters through the entire story. A thread that ties it all together. It's intense and may make you question your own mental state. It is quite possibly a huge twist of fate that I stumbled on this book but I intend to devour all the others in the series.

I can't even say I "enjoyed" it because it's completely the wrong word to describe this book but the only one simple enough to convey the point. Deliver will leave you with a mixed bag of emotions and more questions.

If you are like me, your mind will be spinning. Your heart will be a confused version of happy. But you will need everything mapped out and hopefully Vanquish will help with that.

Vanquish-

If you never thought you could feel anything other than loathing or pity for Van Quiso, you obviously haven't read Vanquish yet. I will admit Deliver gave me a picture of all I needed to know about this deeply f*cked up individual. Or so I thought...The only pity I felt towards Van was when he was shot trying to make amends in Deliver. But Vanquish, oh boy, Vanquish will have you run the entire gamut of emotions.

Vanquish will have you hating, despising, confused, and even dare I say it...liking. You might even stray as far as admiring, appreciating, or gasp...falling for Van.

It might be Stockholm Syndrome or it might even be genuine affection- the only way you will know is picking it up and reading the world through the devil's eyes.

Vanquish is a great story and a wild ride but you MUST have read Deliver to even understand an inkling of what is going on. It is not a stand alone. It is however a stand out. Of all the books you read this year, I guarantee you will have a hard time forgetting it. If you are like me you will crave the rest in the series too.

Disclaim-

oly shit, holy shit, holy shit!!!

Clearly this isn't your first Pam Godwin book because you needed to read Deliver and Vanquish first but it will feel like you have no idea what is going on. You will be on edge, confused, and this side of angry. Disclaim your emotions because your allegiance will be tested and hold onto your morals because otherwise you will be adrift.

Just wow! There is so much going on in this book that your head will be spinning. You won't know which way is up, who to trust, or whether or not you will be happy in the end. It's so well written. You have no idea....

Just wow! This crazy train left the station and here I am hours later with one bathroom break, typing this at 3:36 AM. There is no way you will be able to put this book down. It is everything you expect from Ms. Godwin and somehow still incredibly surprising.

Love these books! Not for the faint of heart for sure! Pam Godwin is one of my all-time favorite authors! The stories are very heavy, but inspiring. Distrubing, but redeeming. Loved each of these 3 stories. I would say the first (Deliver) is probably my favorite. Liv and Josh! My goodness I love them. But I still really enjoyed the other two couples. Very well done! Incredible stories! Hooked me with every word.

Deliver - Rated 4.5 Stars

This was not an easy read. It made me uncomfortable, made me question what I would do in the situation and made me fall in love with characters that I should find reprehensible but I found them endearing and lovable. It was a wild journey but I enjoyed every minute of it.

Vanquish - Rated 4.5 Stars

Vanquish is not a typical love story. It's quite disturbing and yet beautiful at the same time. I must admit that I wasn't a fan of Van Quiso at all in Deliver but he grew on me in this one while I can't say I love him I can say I empathize with him and like him a smidgen. Kudos to the author for redeeming him a bit in my eyes cause I seriously disliked that motherfucker but in this book I say a different side of him, a human side that I quite liked. As for the heroine I loved that even though she had debilitating phobias she was still strong and held her own against Van.

I definitely recommend it. It's dark and delicious.

Disclaim - 4 Stars

Disclaim is a dark friends to lovers and second chance romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved how fierce and badass the heroine was and how dominant the hero was. I loved going on this twisty journey with these characters and can't wait to read the next book in the series.
